Turkey signs deal to buy training aircraft from Pakistan

Turkey inked an agreement to buy a total of 52 initial training aircraft from Pakistan, the country's defense industry authority said in a statement on May 10. 

According a statement by the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM), Turkey will buy 52 Super Mushshak aircraft from Pakistan's Aeronautical Complex-Kamra to be used instead of T-41s and SF-260s in the inventory.

Rolls-Royce has said it has been selected as the technical consultant to ITUNOVA Technology Transfer Office (TTO) for a needs analysis project to assess and identify the developmental activities required to establish a nuclear supply chain in Turkey. 

Turkey's first indigenous flight watch system becomes online in Istanbul

Turkey?s first indigenous integrated flight watch system, OpsEye, has become online in the Atatürk Airport, said Turkish Airlines in a press release on Oct. 6. 

The system, developed by Turkish Airlines and Turkey?s defense firm STM, has been launched at the main flight operation control center of the national carrier.

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), a United States-based aerospace and aviation systems company, announced the formation of its newest wholly-owned subsidiary, TRJet Havac?l?k Teknolojileri (TRJet) to produce Turkey?s first regional jet in a written statement made June 16.
