U.S. Ambassador to represent Washington at Gallipoli commemoration
The U.S. ambassador in Ankara, John Bass, will represent his country in the commemoration ceremonies for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli, U.S. Embassy spokesperson Joe Wierichs told Hürriyet Daily News.
Dignitaries to flock to Gallipoli anniversary
Turkey will host leaders from all corners of the world when it holds commemorations for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli April 24-25.
The heads of state for 20 nations will be in attendance, while two parliament speakers, three vice presidents, five prime ministers and around 20 ministers will also attend the ceremonies.

Bulgarian Appointed as Head of UN Centre for Central Asia
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon appointed on Tuesday the Bulgarian Petko Draganov as his Special Representative and Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
Draganov succeeds the Slovak Miroslav Jenca, who was recently appointed as Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, the site of UNRCCA informs.
Leskovac: Injured migrants are recovering well
LESKOVAC - The injured illegal migrants admitted to Leskovac general hospital are not in a life-threatening condition and their recovery is going well, hospital director Nebojsa Dimitrijevic told Tanjug on Wednesday.
A total of 29 migrants from Bangladesh, Ghana, Nigeria, Burma, Syria and Algeria are hospitalized in the surgical, orthopedic and ENT departments, he specified.

“Traditional African Murals” exhibition in Belgrade
BELGRADE - The exhibition entitled "Traditional African Murals" by Natasa Njegovanovic Ristic will be opened at the Museum of African Art in Belgrade on Tuesday.
The exhibition will display photographs of painted, relief and mosaic decorations used in house exterior and interior design and settlements in different parts of the African continent.
