For the Winter: Bulgaria filled 90% of its Gas Storage Facility in Chiren Ahead of Schedule

The Bulgarian gas storage in Chiren is 90% filled with gas more than two months earlier than the deadline set by the EU to secure stocks for the winter.

Data published on the platform of the non-governmental organization Gas Infrastructure Europe on Friday showed that the target was reached on August 16, at the same time as the EU average of 90% occupancy was reached.

MUNICH - The Serbia men's national basketball team was on Tuesday drawn to play Finland, Denmark and Georgia in FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers Group G.

The draw ceremony was held in Munich.

The top three teams from eight qualifying groups will advance to the final tournament.

Sole bidder for subsidised air links in new call

The second call for applications for subsidies offered by the Slovenian government to improve the country's air connectivity has attracted a single bid, submitted by AirBaltic, Latvia's flag carrier.

AirBaltic is planning to establish an air link between Ljubljana and Riga in the 2024 summer season, the Infrastructure Ministry said when announcing the results of the call on 2 August.

Inflation in Serbia higher than in EU in April-May, lower than in two EU states in April

BELGRADE - Serbian y-o-y inflation was higher compared to the EU in April-May and also lower compared to two EU member states in April and lower than in one EU member state in May, according to the latest issue of the MAT economic monthly, a publication of the Belgrade Institute of Economics and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.
