GUČA -- The traditional Trumpet Festival in Guča opened on Wednesday "with a flag-raising ceremony and the festival anthem," Tanjug is reporting.
Writer Radomir Andrić, the host of the biggest trumpet festival in the Balkans, proposed a toast to visitors.

Romania 'Freezes Business Relations' with Russia
Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced Monday his country had decided to halt joint economic projects with Russia.
Ponta told the news TV channel Digi24 (as cited by a Russian business daily) that the "destabilization" of the region which followed the actions of the Russian Federation, meaning "the annexation of Crimea" and "the actions of separatists in Eastern Ukraine".

PM Ponta, Moldovan counterpart to inaugurate Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline this August
Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced on Thursday that he will travel to Chisinau this August to inaugurate the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline, alongside his Moldovan counterpart Iurie Leanca.
Russian Sanctions on Moldova Worry Romania
Romanian officials have expressed support for the government of neighbouring Moldova after Moscow last week announced the fruit import ban, which follows similar sanctions on the country’s cattle, beef and wine.
Fruit is one of poverty-stricken Moldova’s major export products, raising fears that the country’s economy could suffer.

Tomasevic wins gold medal in discus throw
PITESTI - Serbian female athlete Dragana Tomasevic won the gold medal in discus throw at the Balkan Athletics Championships in Pitesti, Romania.
She scored the victory thanks to the 57.6 metre throw, while Greek athlete Chrysoula Anagnostopoulou won silver with the 53.38 metre throw. Moldova's Dimitriana Surdu claimed the bronze with the throw long 50.17 metres.
