Slovenia expresses support for independent and unbiased ICC
The Hague – Foreign Ministry State Secretary Gašper Dovžan expressed Slovenia’s support for an independent and unbiased International Criminal Court (ICC) and for the international community’s efforts to prevent impunity for international crimes, as he took part in the general debate of the general assembly of signatories of the Rome Statute of the ICC.
Turkey in touch with 92 countries to restart flights, says minister
Turkey has completed discussions with 92 countries for resumption of flights, the country's transportation and infrastructure minister said on Aug. 14.
Turkey continues to operate scheduled and non-scheduled flights with 48 countries as of Aug. 13, Adil Karaismailoğlu said in a press release.

8 Francophone countries get new currency
It is official that the Eco will replace the CFA franc as the new currency for the eight Francophone countries that form the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).
France's Council of Ministers officially passed a bill earlier this month that ratified the reform of the monetary agreement that bound the French government to the eight member states.

Turkey repatriates 1,286 nationals over virus
Turkey brought back a total of 1,286 of its nationals from four African nations and Arab countries on April 26 as part of its ongoing repatriation efforts for Ramadan amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Some 207 Turkish nationals returning from Somalia and Djibouti on a special Turkish Airlines flight arrived at Turkey's Nevşehir-Kapadokya Airport.

Over 60,000 citizens brought back so far: Minister
More than 60,000 Turkish citizens have been brought back home from around the world during the novel coronavirus pandemic, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has said.
"Until today, we have brought more than 60,000 of our citizens home," Çavuşoğlu said in a tweet on late April 25.

Erdogan says Russia not abiding by Syria agreements
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Russia was not abiding by the Sochi or Astana agreements regarding Syria's northwestern Idlib province, broadcaster NTV reported on Wednesday.
Renewed bombardments by Russia-backed Syrian government forces on Idlib have raised concern of a new refugee wave from the area, where some 3 million people live.
