The Black Panther actress, Connie Chiume, has passed away at the age of 72.

The South African actress took her last breath in a hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Tuesday, August 6th.

The news was made known by her family via social media, specifically through a post shared on her personal Instagram account.

Türkiye has formally submitted its bid to join the genocide case launched by South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) at The Hague.

Türkiye has become the sixth nation submitting a declaration of intervention in South Africa's case after Nicaragua, Colombia, Libya, Palestine and Spain, upon the 63rd article of the Charter of the ICJ.

Turkey will submit on Wednesday a declaration of intervention in South Africa's genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Hague, a diplomatic source said.

The declaration will happen at 1330 GMT, the source added, after Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said this week that Turkey would make the declaration on Wednesday.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has declared Türkiye's commitment to acting as a guarantor of peace amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

"Those who seek to profit from the tears of innocents will sooner or later understand how gravely they have made a mistake," Erdoğan said after a cabinet meeting on Aug. 5.

Türkiye will participate in the genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Aug. 7, joining the proceedings initiated by South Africa, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has announced.
