Suriname has decided to withdraw its previous decision to recognize Kosovo as independent, Serbia's Foreign Minster Ivica Dacic announced on Tuesday.

The first deputy prime minister stressed that he received information about this from the South American country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and that it came "after long-term work, and many conversations."

Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry has advised the country's citizens to exercise caution when visiting parts of South America afflicted by mosquito-transmitted diseases.

Only days after the adoption of a new Aviation Strategy for Europe,  the European Commission updated the EU Air Safety List, the list of airlines that are subject to an operating ban or operational restrictions within the European Union. This list is essential to guarantee the highest level of air safety for European citizens.

Amansio Paraschiv of Ploiesti (north of Bucharest) became the world champion of the New Heroes middleweight class on Sunday, in an anniversary gala in his home city, defeating Albanian Julian Imeri in front of 4,000 fans.
