ISIL a regional issue, US general says
The U.S. military could move against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Syria once its militants are determined to have become a direct threat to the U.S. homeland or Europe, but not before, U.S. Gen. Martin Dempsey has said.

Rare photos mark 100th anniversary of WWI
The Turkish Historical Society has released historical photographs from World War I to mark the 100th anniversary of the war, which show Ottoman troops fighting in seven different battlefields including Gallipoli, Iraq and Yemen.

Turkish governor ramps up anti-Coca Cola protests against Israel (by drinking Fanta)
The governor of the western province of TekirdaÄ has joined the boycott of what is arguably the most popular soda drink in the world, Coca-Cola, over Israelâs latest military campaign in Gaza, tweeting a photo of himself posing with bottles of Fanta. Unfortunately for Governor Ali Yerlikaya, Fanta is also product of the Coca-Cola Company.
Montenegro Earns More From Arms Sales
Montenegro’s annual national report on the weapons trade said the country exported arms worth around 6.5 million euros over the last year, a 30-per-cent increase in value in comparison to previous years.
