Bulgarians celebrate Children's Day
Today is June 1 - Children's Day. The holiday dates back to the World Conference on Children's Health, held in Geneva in 1925.
24 years later, the day was officially declared International Children's Day. And in 1950, June 1 was celebrated simultaneously in 51 countries around the world for the first time.

Refugee children in Turkey celebrate Children’s Day
Turkish children are not the only ones celebrating Children's Day in Turkey on April 23, which Mustafa Kemal Atatürk dedicated to all children of the world, but also children from Syria and different nationalities, who came to Turkey fleeing wars in their countries, also enjoy this day.
June 1st - International Children's Day
Every year, Children's Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in different countries of the world and at different dates. And even though not all countries keep the same date, there is a Universal Children's Day on November 20th of each year starting 1954 by the United Nations General Assembly.

Producers Market and Culinary Demonstrations on the International Children's Day
Funny, educational and very tasty - such will be the Children's Day for kids and their parents if they visit the specially organised organic products market. It will take place on June 1st in the Zaimov Park, next to the Sofia Theater. Over 40 organic producers will offer a variety of natural products grown in Bulgaria which were supported under the Rural Development Program (2014-2020).
Lugubrious celebration
Turkey marking National Sovereignty and Children's Day yesterday. As for the Children's Day, there was no problem. Even the neo-sultan of the grotesque palace temporarily gave his specious seat to a small girl, allowed another girl playing a violin to entertain him with songs in his, his mother's and the Çanakkale martyrs' honor.

Here is a selection as Turkey celebrates Sovereignty Day and Children's Day on April 23, 2015. Turkey's founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, violence against women and demand to protect green spaces are one of the dominant themes of Turkish children this year.
