Bulgaria's Prosecution Launches Probe into Bobov Dol Vote Affair
Bulgaria's Prosecuting Authority has started an investigation into claims of controlled vote in the Bobov Dol coal mines days ahead of the European elections.
The move was prompted by private channel NOVA TV's report which shows the mine's chief as reminding to workers the number of the ballot which they are to cast on Sunday.
3 New Shopping Malls to Open in Sofia by End 2014
Three new shopping malls will open in Sofia by the end of the year, shows an analysis of the real estate consultants Cushman & Wakefield.
In April in Sofia opened Panorama Mall and three others, with a total area of 120 000 square meters, are to be completed by the end of the year – Sofia Ring Mall, Plaza West and Mega Mall.
Bulgaria, Israel to Foster Scientific Exchange
Bulgaria's Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski met with Israel's President Shimon Peres during his visit to the Middle East country.
"Bulgaria is part of the EU and NATO, which guarantees us a sustainable path for the future. It is up to us what progress we make. In these efforts, we very much rely on old friends, among the top of which is Israel", Oresharski told his colleague.
Ten Year Jail Term for Sijekovac Killings
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina jailed Zemir Kovacevic for ten years for his role in the murder, mistreatment and robbery of Serb civilians in the Sijekovac area in March-April 1992.
Deputy Head of Bulgaria's Svilengrad Customs Office Detained
Georgi Georgiev, Deputy Director of the Customs office in Bulgaria's southern town of Svilengrad has been arrested, Wednesday.
Georgiev was detained during a joint operation of the State Agency for National Security (DANS) and the Prosecutor's office, BGNES informs. According to unofficial reports, he was arrested for drug possession.

Copenhagen Choir to stage humanitarian concert Thursday
BELGRADE - As part of its Balkan tour, the Copenhagen Music Choir, directed by Ole Reuss Schmidt, will stage a humanitarian concert at the Slavija Theatre in Belgrade on Thursday evening.
The choir will continue its international tour by May 30 in Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Macedonia, Batric Zarkovic, Slavija Theatre founder and director, has said.
Dacic: Serbia can count on EU help
BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said after a meeting he had with European Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn on Wednesday that the most important message to the Serbian public is that the EU will help Serbia after the catastrophic floods of the past few days.
China, Russia Announce Historic Thirty-Year Gas Supply Deal
Russia's energy giant Gazprom and Chinese CNPC have signed a huge gas deliveries deal estimated at USD 400 B, following talks between state leaders.
The deal is expected to pump 1.14 trillion cubic meters of gas into China over the next thirty years and will provide some 38 bcm yearly, a fourth or fifth of what is delivered to Europe for the same period.
