Swoboda to raise issue of Ivanovic's arrest in EP

BELGRADE - European Parliament (EP) Special Rapporteur on the Western Balkans Hannes Swoboda has said that he is unpleasantly surprised by the arrest of leader of the Citizens' Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanovic who is still in detention in Pristina.

URS submits slate for snap parliamentary poll

BELGRADE - The United Regions of Serbia submitted on Monday its slate, entitled Let's Work and Live for the snap parliamentary election on March 16.

The first name on the slate is that of URS leader Mladjan Dinkic, follwed yb Sasa Milenic and Verica Kalanovic.

URS Vice Preisdent Suzana Grubjesic is 6th on the list.

EP delegation confers with SPS officials

BELGRADE - A delegation of the European Parliament (EP) headed by President of the group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the EP Hannes Swoboda visited the Socialist Party o Serbia on Monday, and the talks at the end of the meeting covered the current political situation.

Nikolic decorates Itsuko Teruoka and Stella Jatras

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic signed a decree on Monday, to mark the Statehood Day on February 15, whereby he decorated professor Itsuko Teruoka from Japan by a gold medal of merit for her exceptional engagement in humanitarian activities and delivered a posthumous decoration to Stella Jatras of the U.S.

Mikser Tango Festival to be held on Feb 14-16

BELGRADE - The Mikser Tango Festival will be held on February 14-16 at the Mikser House in Belgrade.

The festival events include dance and concert nights, seminars for tango instructors, presentations of tango schools, as well as side events that include a photo exhibition, video footage from world championships and a fair of tango clothes and shoes.
