Ivanovic retrial begins

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The retrial of Civic Initiative SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic began before the Kosovska Mitrovica Basic Court Friday.

The Mitrovica court last month ordered a house arrest for Ivanovic after the Pristina Court of Appeals ordered a retrial in his case, throwing out a first-instance ruling sentencing him to nine years in prison for war crimes against civilians committed in 1999.
