Palic Golden Tower goes to Russian film 'Leviathan'
PALIC - The Golden Tower award for the best film at the 21st European Film Festival Palic went to 'Leviathan' by Russian director Andrey Zvyagintsev, jury chair Pierre-Henri Deleau told reporters.
The Palic Golden Tower for the best directing touch went to German director Dietrich Brueggemann for the film 'Stations of the Cross'. The Swedish film 'Tourist' by Ruben Ostlund won the festival's special recognition.
In the festival's second competition entitled Parallels and Encounters, the jury decided to deliver the award went to Ukrainian film 'The Tribe' and Estonia's 'Free Range', jury chair Nevena Matovic said.
The festival art council delivered the Seyfi Teoman award to young Serbian director Ivan Ikic for his debut 'Barbarians'.
The awards were delivered late on Friday, at the special closing of the European Film Festival in Palic which began on July 19, featuring screenings of around 80 films in several programmes.
