Bulgarian Graces with an European Title in Rhythmic Gymnastics

Bulgarian Rhythmic Gymnastics Ensemble won the European title in the final of its mixed combination of three balls and two ropes, said gong.bg. Our fantastic five, who has experienced many controversial emotions during the Guadalajara (Spain) Old World Championship, received the highest result of its dynamic and extremely attractive composition. With 22,825 points, the Bulgarians won the gold.

Simona Dyankova, Elena Bineva, Madlen Radukanova, Laura Traats and Stefani Kiriakova, who replaced the injured Teodora Alexandrova, showed an enviable character and when the result was announced, the emotions peaked and tears filled their eyes. After the all difficult moments which they experienced during the European competition day when the error cost them the opportunity to win the gold and stay with bronze, and after inaccuracies in the finals, our girls rose and all came back with an unspeakable performance.

The silver at the final of the mixed performance won Italy with 22,350. Top 3 was Azerbaijan with 20,350 points. Surprisingly, Russia in this final was seventh. Irina Wiener's girls had inaccuracies. So the balance for the Bulgarian ensemble from the European competition is bronze of multiboy and gold in the finals of balls and ropes. In the team competition, Vessela Dimitrova's gymnasts played an important role with the girls (individually) for the third place which was won.
