Presidential candidate of the People's Movement Party (PMP) Elena Udrea has announced the party is seeking another way of unveiling the political programme of its candidate following Udrea's cancellation of the launch of her presidential bid initially scheduled for Sunday at the Palace Hall of Bucharest.

'We are looking for something costless, something in our different, modern and energetic manner as we did in the campaign for the European elections when we launched our candidates in a flashmob in the old town of Bucharest,' Udrea said Friday.

She also said that on Sunday, instead of the event for her official launch of her presidential bid that should have taken place at the Palace Hall, PMP will stage a protest march to the Government House.

'On Sunday, we are staging a big protest march against the government and for jobs. We will walk from the Palace Hall all the way to the Government House to talk about the poor governance of Mr Victor Ponta and the Social Democratic Party (PSD) as well as about the need to create jobs,' said Udrea.

Asked by journalists, Udrea said she did not invite President Basescu to join the march.

Udrea on Thursday announced the cancellation of the launch scheduled for Sunday at the Palace Hall in Bucharest.

'I have decided to no longer do the launch. We used the money that would have been spent on the launch party to purchase schoolbags and ABC books that we will send all over the country. Instead, we will stage a protest march on Sunday against poor governance and for job creation. We are trying to break out of Victor Ponta's mould, which perfectly resembles what used to happen under Ceausescu,' Udrea told daily Adevarul in a webcast. AGERPRES
