Sviloanovic: EC report realistic and positive
ARANDJELOVAC - Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council Goran Svilanovic stated that the new annual report of the European Commission (EC) on Serbia's progress is realistic and very positive, but he also added that nobody should be overly satisfied.
I believe this is a realistic report and attention should be paid to the positive points, but that comments concerning the areas in which progress needs to be made should be taken into account as well, Svilanovic told Tanjug on the margins of the NIN Focus "Regional Investment Summit" in Arandjelovac.
When it comes to Serbia, this is a very positive report, especially if we compare it to the documents issued in the past few years, and even more so if we regard it in the context of the reports for other countries in the region, Svilanovic said.
The year of 2014 was a difficult one because many people were left jobless but the government managed to turn the figures around, Svilanovic said and expressed the hope that active efforts would continue to be invested to this end because this matter constitutes the essence of sustainability of Serbia's society.
