Political analysts expect 50 pct voter turnout, Ponta against Iohannis in presidential runoff

The political analysts Cristian Parvulescu, Adrian Moraru, Marius Pieleanu, Alfred Bulai and Radu Magdin predict that the PSD-UNPR-PC (the Social Democratic Party, the National Union for Romania's Progress, the Conservative Party) candidate, incumbent Prime Minister Victor Ponta and the Christian Liberal Alliance (ACL) candidate, Sibiu mayor Klaus Iohannis will advance to the presidential runoff.

According to Cristian Parvulescu (the Pro Democracy Association), the entrance of Victor Ponta and Klaus Iohannis in the second round of the presidential elections will be due to the fact that both candidates benefit from the support of political parties well represented in the territory.
