Mikhalkov, Tavernier, Konchalovsky, Cuaron at Kustendorf
BELGRADE - The 8th Kustendorf International Film and Music Festival, which begins at Drvengrad in Mecavnik on Wednesday, now also has celebrated Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov on its guest list.
Confirmed guests include famous director Andrey Konchalovsky, Mexican-American director Alfonso Cuaron, as well as cult French director Bertrand Tavernier.
The international jury for the competitive programme will include Amanda Nevill, Chief Executive of the British Film Institute, Mexican-American film producer Alex Garcia and French film producer Claudie Ossard.
Konchalovsky's Russian and American movies, as well as films produced by Ossard and directed by Cuaron, will be screened in the retrospective programme, with 17 films from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, The Netherlands, Iceland, Romania, Israel, Croatia, Germany, Belgium, France, Hungary, Egypt, Russia, the United States and Serbia competing for the awards - the Golden, Silver and Bronze Egg.
The diversity of the authors' approach and the quality of the selected films promise a competition full of excitement and suspense.
