Gorghiu: We are discussing censure motion with all, PSD included
National Liberal Party (PNL) co-chairperson Alina Gorghiu has stated, on Wednesday, that in order to form a majority and promote the censure motion discussions are had with "absolutely all" MPs, including those in the Social Democrat Party (PSD), adding that the Opposition has "not been knocking on closed doors".

"The arithmetic is not very favorable for us because there are a pretty large number of MPs that support the Ponta Government but that does not mean we are not trying to explain to every colleague the opportunity and legitimacy of the PNL's endeavor. (...) This does not mean that there will not be discussions with each MP to form a majority and promote that censure motion. (...) These discussions are had with absolutely everybody, including those in the PSD, and we have not been knocking on closed doors. There are people who understand that the party of which they are part and that leads the Executive in Romania is going in a wrong direction and that the policies that they made and applied and still apply are not the ones that Romania resonates with right now", said Gorghiu in an interview granted to DC News.
Furthermore, the PNL co-chair said she does not wish to put forth a calendar regarding the censure motion, giving assurances that it will be filed in the current parliamentary session.
"I do not want to put forth a calendar. (...) It is less important on what day we change the Government (...), far more important to me is to explain to Romanians what we want to do when we get there and why we want to get there. (...) In this session there will be a censure motion and I believe that following it we will be able to remove the Ponta Government", said Alina Gorghiu. AGERPRES
