President Iohannis lays wreath at Colectiv Club
President Klaus Iohannis laid a wreath on Wednesday morning in front of Colectiv Club, in the memory of the tragedy which occurred four years ago. On this occasion, the head of state lit a candle and kept a moment of silence before the improvised altar in front of the club in the memory of the victims of the fire which took place on 30 October 2015.

Romania Withdraws Bid to Join Schengen Area
A session of the European Council for Justice and Home Affairs, JHA, scheduled for Thursday, will now not discuss the admission of Romania and Bulgaria to the Schengen area, as a decision has been postponed to the end of the year.

Romania MPs to Vote on New Deal With Lenders
Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta says that Romania could continue to have some sort of agreement with the International Monetary Fund and the European Commission, but that parliament will decide on the issue.
"Parliament is to vote on whether Romania should seek a new deal from international lenders when the current one expires this month," Ponta said early this week.

Tariceanu to PNL: You have betrayed voters; you have no right to talk about legitimacy
Senate Chairman Calin Popescu-Tariceanu told a plenary debate in Parliament on a motion of censure against the Ponta Government that the National Liberal Party (PNL) has no right to talk about legitimacy, adding that it is for the first time in the history of PNL when its national leader was appointed instead of elected to office.
PNL's Gorghiu: I appeal to MPs in ruling coalition to act like responsible persons
The co-chairperson of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Alina Gorghiu, has stated on Friday, in the plenum of Parliament, during the debate on the motion of censure, that MPs have the chance to prove that the Legislative "is not solidary with abuse and hypocrisy" and appealed to the deputies and senators of parties in the governing coalition "to act like responsible persons".
Orban: There is no connection between PNL's political demarche and DNA's activity
National Liberal Party (PNL) Deputies' leader Ludovic Orban on Friday said that there is "no connection whatsoever" between the Liberals filing the censure motion and "what happens in the DNA [the National Anti-corruption Directorate] activity."
Liberals file censure motion in Parliament
The Liberals have filed a motion to censure the Ponta Government on Friday, with the office of the Chamber of Deputies Speaker, Valeriu Zgonea, as well as with the office of the Senate Speaker, Calin Popescu-Tariceanu.

Gorghiu: We are discussing censure motion with all, PSD included
National Liberal Party (PNL) co-chairperson Alina Gorghiu has stated, on Wednesday, that in order to form a majority and promote the censure motion discussions are had with "absolutely all" MPs, including those in the Social Democrat Party (PSD), adding that the Opposition has "not been knocking on closed doors".
