Djokovic through to Monte Carlo Masters quarter-finals
MONTE CARLO - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis singles, is through to the quarter-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters after a 7-5, 6-3 win over Italian Lorenzo Musetti in the third round on Thursday.
Djokovic, who won after an hour and 59 minutes of play, will next face world number 11 Alex de Minaur of Australia, who defeated compatriot Alexei Popyrin 6-3, 6-4.
Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic lost 6-4, 6-3 to Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the second round.
The match was resumed after being delayed by rain on Wednesday as Dimitrov was leading 6-4, 2-1.
The prize money at the Monte Carlo Masters is 5,950,575 euros.
