Evia: Road accident – Collision between a truck and a train

An accident occurred a few hours ago in Evia.

According to initial reports in the area of Glyfada in Chalkida under unknown circumstances there was a violent collision between a truck and a train.

So far there have been no reports of injuries.

A truck veered off course on the ring road, near Avlida, and crashed into the train tracks, resulting in a collision with passing train 1551 (Chalkida-Athens). No injuries.

At the same time, according to Hellenic Train, the fire brigade is helping to evacuate the 130 passengers of the train, while buses are being dispatched to remove them.
