The risks and shortfalls

What is happening in our wider region shows that we have entered an extremely unpredictable and dangerous period in time. 

The Greek state unfortunately has huge shortfalls and ills that must be overcome very quickly. The creation of a serious defense industry, the change in the structure and culture of the Armed Forces, the modernization of the outdated and resource-poor Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the creation of a National Security Council cannot wait.

The problems have been identified and serious initiatives are under way that must not, however, fall victim to the usual political irresponsibility or bureaucratic inertia.
