Tax dues near €70 bln in 2025

Taxes in excess of 5 billion euros will be paid every month from January 2025 by taxpayers and businesses, with total receipts approaching €70 billion next year, an increase of €2.5 billion compared to the current year.

In the first two months of the year, households and businesses will repay their debts incurred for 2023 income tax as well as the Single Property Tax (ENFIA), while new tax obligations will begin from March 2025. 

On March 15, the Taxisnet electronic system is expected to open for the submission of tax returns (2024 income), while at the end of the same month, the installments of the new ENFIA will begin to come in, which will be paid in 12 monthly tranches.

As shown by the figures of the budget for next year, the most difficult month for taxpayers will be July, when according to calculations more than €8.3 billion will flow into state coffers....
