Professor of the Medical School in Podgorica,Verica Dabanovi? was fired because she lifted her bare leg during the prom.

School Director Branimir Kostic said that the professor was fired because the "captured photo was an inappropriate pose for teachers.

" He believes that the "inappropriate teacher pose" represents a "negative example to students" and that she "harmed the reputation of the Medical School."

Kostic said that disciplinary proceedings in accordance with the provisions of the Labour Law and the General Collective Agreement, "part-time teacher of the Pharmaceutical Group classes has been dismissed effective May 20th.

He added that he informed the Ministry of Education and disciplinary measures will be taken against professor Rados Malid?an.

The photograph shows that Dabanovi? put her leg on colleague Malid?an's shoulder, who was crouched. In addition to the two of them in the photograph are the senior students.

Dabanovi? has been working in the Medical School since the nineties. Students of the school, and the union, urged the administration to reinstate the teacher.

The President of the Trade Union, Mileva Milovanovic believes that "the Montenegrin education has much bigger problems than beautiful naked legs."

She argues that Dabanovi? is a good person and educater, kids love her and have asked the government to reinstate her.

- I do not justify my colleague, but this is just a snapshot that the photographer caught during a joking moment while students and professors were getting ready for a photo - said the president of the union.
