European, Asian historians to attend conference on WWI

BELGRADE - An international conference on World War I, which will bring together prominent scientists, academicians, historians and military experts from 20 European and Asian countries, will begin in Belgrade on Thursday.

In Wednesday's discussion with representatives of the conference, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic stressed the significance of research dealing with World War I, also giving credit to the organisers of the conference, the presidential press office said in a statement.

Nikolic met the delegation of the international conference at a reception marking the Serbian Armed Forces Day, the statement said.
