156 justices and prosecutors reassigned in Turkey

As many as 156 Turkish justices and prosecutors have been reassigned to different job posts by Turkey's top judicial body.

A total of 137 personnel in the legal judiciary and 19 others in the administrative judiciary were rotated following a decision by the Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK), as announced on its website on Oct. 15.

Among the 137 personnel moved in the legal judiciary were Hüseyin Güler, Mustafa Mutlu, Kadir Y?lmaz, Bahad?r Yakut, ?pek Aksu Pesek, Osman Tonta and Ayben ?yisoy.

Upon the HSYK's latest reassignment, Güler was moved from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in the Mediterranean province of Antalya to the Ankara Public Prosecutor's Office, while Y?lmaz rotated from the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Istanbul's Gaziosmanpa?a district to the Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Istanbul's Bak?rköy district.

Following the HSYK's decision, justice Mutlu was moved from the presidency of the Court for Serious Crimes in the Aegean province of Ayd?n to a court the Aegean province of ?zmir.

Yakut and Pesek, two justices formerly working at Turkey's Justice Ministry, were moved to the Public Prosecutor's Office in the eastern province of Van and to an Istanbul court, respectively, following the reassignment.

?yisoy moved from the presidency of the Justice Ministry's International Law and Foreign Affairs Directorate to the General Public Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court of Appeals.
