Three years after the Albanian police executed him in cold blood the Albanian authorities have not issued the official report on the incident

Albanian police on Tuesday said 15 people had been arrested for deliberate arson since July 25 in connection to wildfires burning for about two weeks in the country.

Albanian police on Tuesday manhandled Ergjys Gjencaj, a journalist for the News 24 TV channel, and pushed his colleague Klodiana Lala after failing to detain a suspected criminal.

Among those arrested are both current and former Albanian police officers. SPAK described two of the arrested as officers who "at the time when they carried out their illegal activities in 2016 were members of the staff of the [then] Minister of Interior".

"At around 14:30, on Kavaja Street, a citizen entered the premises of a religious cult (mosque) and in still unclear circumstances injured five citizens with a sharp tool," the police said in a press release.

Albanian Police seized 18 illegal weapons bases on Thursday in the capital, Tirana, which they believe are connected to organised crime groups and arrested five people. Another two were declared wanted.

The police operation, codenamed "Complex", also helped uncover three past unsolved crimes related to guns and explosives.

In Serbia, it noted, agencies set up to fight cybercrime switched to focusing on people accused of causing panic and spreading disinformation on social networks and in Viber groups.

Some crime activities have decreased as a result of the pandemic, the report points out. Migration, for example, dropped significantly towards the end of March, it says.
