US denies bombing Iraqi Shi'ite militia near Syrian border
The U.S.-led coalition fighting Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant denied yesterday responsibility for an attack near the Syrian border which killed dozens of members of an Iraqi Shi'ite militia and, that group said, several of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards.
The Leader of ISIS in Afghanistan Killed
The leader of a local affiliate of the Islamic State, known as Islamic State Khorosan, or ISIS-K, Sheikh Abdul Hasib was killed, said the president Ashraf Gani, quoted by France Press Agency, reported Dnevnik.

An independent Kurdistan? Really?
The independence of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is being discussed once and more. Most recently, KRG President Massoud Barzani cited the disintegration of Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia in reference to Iraq's future. He inflamed the longstanding discussion about independence, saying, "Kurds have the right to self-determination just as Eastern European people do."

Merkel joins Holocaust survivors to mark Nazi camp's liberation
