Macedonia Court Jails Ex-Interior Minister For Six Years
Macedonia's former interior minister, Gordana Jankuloska, was jailed for six years on Monday in a first-instance verdict for "misuse of office", for her involvement in the illegal purchase of a luxury Mercedes in 2012 that the former prime minister, Nikola Gruevski, had used secretly.
Kosovo Convicts Seven Men of Terrorism Offences
Pristina Basic Court on Tuesday convicted seven people of organising and participating in terrorist groups and unauthorised possession of weapons.
Artan Kadriu was sentenced to four years in prison; Besim Shabani, Egzon Latifi and Bekim Halili to three years each, and Adil Bushi and Jetmir Bushi to two years and four months each.

Kosovo Court Frees Activists Who Attacked Assembly
The Appeals Court in Pristina on Monday ordered the release of three opposition Vetevendosje party activists, including an MP, who were convicted of throwing a grenade at the parliament building in 2016 and given substantial jail terms.
The court overturned the original verdicts and returned the case to the Basic Court of Pristina for retrial.

Serbian Political Leader In Northern Kosovo Shot Dead
Oliver Ivanovic, an ethnic Serb political leader in northern Kosovo, has been shot dead in front of his office in the Serb-dominated northern part of the divided city of Mitrovica.
Ivanovic's lawyer, Nebojsa Vlajic, told RFE/RL that Ivanovic died as a result of the shooting on the morning of January 16.
