Greek actress Anna Synodinou dies at 89
Renowned Greek actress Anna Synodinou died at the age of 89 at a private hospital facing health problems over the last years.
The great actress and politician was born in 1927 in Loutraki.
She is known for The 300 Spartans (1962), Ilektra (1962) and Matomena homata (2008), while she had participated in many drama performances.

The June 4 inauguration of the 37th Book Fair on the premises of the Athens Conservatory signaled two important facts: one, that the publishing sector is withstanding the effects of sluggish sales and looking for new ways to reach out to society and, second, that the building housing the event is seeking broader recognition and looking toward the future.

Aristotle's Lyceum open to public
One of the sites on the "Green Cultural Routes" program organized by the Culture Ministrys Directorate of Museums, Exhibitions and Educational Programs Department is Aristotles Lyceum, which opened its doors to the public on Wednesday after an introductory event last month aimed at acquainting the public with the site and the tour.

Aristotle’s Lyceum in Athens almost ready to open to public
One of the sites chosen as part of the green cultural routes program organized by the Culture Ministrys Directorate of Museums, Exhibitions and Educational Programs Department was Aristotles Lyceum. The tour, which introduced attendees to new and exciting information about life in ancient Greece, was led by the head of the Third Ephorate of Classical Antiquities, Eleni Banou.
