Basket League

Today serves up the main course of Super League 1, with four matches that hold significant interest: Aris vs. Levadiakos, Volos vs. Panathinaikos, Atromitos vs. AEK, and Lamia vs. PAOK.

In Europe, there are matches in the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, La Liga, and of course, Serie A.

Today’s sports broadcasts include the Super League’s 10th round, opening with the Olympiacos – Panserraikos and Athens Kallithea – Panetolikos matches. Panathinaikos and Olympiakos had opposite results on the road on Friday in the Euroleague, two days before they face off for the Basket League in Piraeus. The Greek champion triumphed in Turkey over Fenerbahce, while Olympiakos slumped to a 2-3 record surrendering to Bayern Munich.

The Super League returns today with three matches (Volos–Panserraikos, Atromitos–Panaitolikos, Lamia–Asteras Tripolis), kicking off the 8th round of play. Meanwhile, the Super League 2 and the Basket League continue as scheduled.

There’s also a packed schedule in international leagues, with the Juventus vs Lazio match standing out.

Olympiacos played beautiful basketball and comfortably defeated Aris 102-72. The “Reds” ran the floor well, finishing the game with 27 assists and a balanced offensive performance (everyone scored except for Petrusev, who did not play due to illness).

Panathinaikos AKTOR has returned after three years to the throne of Greek basketball, adding the Basket League title to its Euroleague crown this season, by beating Olympiakos in the final game of the playoffs' championship series on Friday.

Panathinaikos canceled out its home loss in Game 1 as on Wednesday it managed to beat Olympiakos in Piraeus, in Game 4 of the Basket League finals, snatch back the home advantage and take the best-of-five series to a fifth game that it will host on Friday.

Olympiakos has beaten Panathinaikos for a second time in 48 hours, this time in Piraeus on Friday night, to get to within one victory from clinching the Basket League title. 

The Reds won 92-86 in an unusually high-scoring game for the best-of-five championship series and have a 2-0 lead over the Euroleague champion.

The series of the Basket League finals is promising to be extremely interesting, as Olympiakos has already managed to snatch home advantage from Euroleague champion Panathinaikos with its road win on Wednesday.

The Reds led throughout Game 1 of the best-of-five series and won 89-84 in front of a capacity crowd of Panathinaikos supporters at the Olympic Sports Hall.
