3.1-Magnitute Earthquake Registered in Bulgaria, Near Strazhitsa
A 3.1 magnitude earthquake is registered on the territory of Bulgaria, near Strazhitsa, BGNES reported.
The earthquake is felt at 16.19 AM with an epicenter 6 km southeast of Strazhitsa, 33 km east of Veliko Tarnovo, with a depth of 2 km, the European Seismological Center said.

DW: 'Brain Drain' from Bulgaria, Romania Helps Germany
The exodus of hundreds of thousands of skilled workers from Bulgaria and Romania has largely helped Germany's labour market, especially in sectors such as medicine, a Deutsche Welle article says.
It cites official data from the Bulgarian Academy of Science, which estimates the country will have lost some 40 000 qualified workers "in five to ten years".

Bulgaria's Science Expenditure Gets Boost in 2017 Budget
Some BGN 10 M more will be allocated to the Bulgarian Academy of Science next year compared to this one, members of Parliament's budget commission have agreed.
The figure will be a substantial increase of the BGN 80.84 expenditure that was granted this year.
