Bulgarian Justice Ministry

All opinions received so far at the Bulgarian Justice Ministry in connection with a reform of the judicial map proposed by the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) are negative, the Ministry said on Monday during a discussion it organized on accessible and effective justice.

Over 100,000 mainly young, educated Macedonians have acquired EU passports in the past ten years, searching for employment and a better life abroad, European statistical data show.

The preferred way for Macedonians to obtain the right to work in the EU is by getting a passport from neighbouring Bulgaria.

The largest proportion of applicants for Bulgarian citizenship this year and in 2013 came from neighbouring Macedonia, the Bulgarian embassy told Balkan Insight.
