CNN reports that President Trump took to his Twitter account one hour after the escalation of the protests of his supporters and the incursion into the Congress.
"Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!", the incumbent US President said.

Senate Republicans to Open Debate on Obamacare Eepeal After 51-50 Vote

The US Senate voted 51-50 Tuesday to proceed with a debate on Republican plans to repeal Barack Obama's health care reforms, according to France24.

The vote was a victory for President Donald Trump, who spent weeks cajoling, strong-arming and warning Republicans to get on board with his effort to overhaul Obamacare.

Shots fired near Capitol Hill

Metro DC police confirm to ABC News that shots were fired near Capitol Hill this morning.

According to police a driver apparently struck a Capitol Police cruiser and then tried to run over several other officers who were on foot.

At some point, Capitol Police apparently fired shots but no one was struck.

The individual has been taken into custody.
