Drunk Driver Destroyes a Bus Stop in Sofia

Drunk driver has destroyed a bus stop in Sofia, Nova TV reported.

Fortunately, there are no injured citizens. The incident happened at 9.00 am this morning on Alexander Malinov Boulevard in the Mladost district. The alcoholic sample of the driver showed 1.6 milligrams of alcohol in the blood, the Center for Urban Mobility announced.

Parking in the Blue and Green Area in Sofia will be Free During the Holidays

Parking in the paid parking areas in the capital will be free of charge during the eight holiday days around Christmas and New Year, the Center for Urban Mobility announced.

The Blue Zone and the Green Zone can be used free of charge on 23, 25, 26, 27 and 30 December 2017 and January 1, 2018.

Hole near the Road Threatens to Swallow a Bus Stop in Sofia

A large hole opened under a bus stop in front of the "Aleksandrovska" hospital in Sofia. The teams of the Center for Urban Mobility secure the area and dismantle the stop, reports frognews. 

The alleged causes of the collapse are the heavy rainfall of the last days and the construction activities related to the construction of the subway nearby.

From October 1st: On Saturday, the Blue Zone in Sofia will be Until 18:00, on Weekdays - Until 19:30

From October 1st, paid parking spaces in Sofia will have new working hours from 8:30 to 19:30, the Center for Urban Mobility reports, quoted by bTV. 

On Saturday, the blue zone will work until 6 pm  not until 14 am. From the same date, the extension of the green zone in the regions of Sredets and Lozenets will enter into force.

Sofia Residents will Wait Less at City Transport Stops

Soon, Sofia residents will probably stop waiting trams, buses and trolleys for a long time. The municipality is working on new schedules to reduce the intervals between consecutive vehicles on the same line of urban transport. This was made clear by the words of Deputy Mayor of Sofia Transport Evgeni Krusev.

Tram Derailed in Sofia

A tram derailed in Sofia in the morning on 18th of September. Traffic of tram routes 1,6 and 7 was temporarily diverted, the Bulgarian National TV has reported.

The cause of the accident was a mistake of the driver. He had entered the opposite road on which another tram was moving. The driver will be sanctioned, the press center of the Center for Urban Mobility announced.

Green Zone for Parking in Sofia is Expanding with 2 More Sectors in the Center

From October 1, the Green Zone for parking in Sofia is expanding with two more sectors in the center - ''Down Lozenets'' and ''Sredets'', reported bTV.

The area will cover the sections around the Roman wall and the Hemus Hotel, ''James Bourchier'' Blvd. next to ''Arsenalski'' Blvd. in ''Lozenets'' and  part of Str Tsar'' Ivan Asen ll'' and ''Yavorov Street'' in ''Sredets''.
