President Radev: The Power of "The Bulgarian Christmas" Initiative Is to Unite our Society around Human Values

The charity initiative "The Bulgarian Christmas" shows that when there is a cause and dedicated people, even with minimal resources, a great effect can be achieved. This was stated by President Rumen Radev at a meeting with the partners of the donation campaign, which is being conducted under the auspices of the Head of State in aid of sick children.

Bulgaria Celebrates the 140th Anniversary of the Liberation from Ottoman Rule

Bulgaria celebrates the national holiday - 140 years since the liberation from Ottoman Rule. On March 3 (February 19th in old style), in 1878, the San Stefano Peace Treaty between Russia and the Ottoman Empire was signed, which provides for the rebuilding of Bulgaria. Independence was proclaimed thirty years later - on September 22 (October 5 in a new style) 1908.

Embassy Of Azerbaijan Celebrates Spring with Music Concert Held at The Central Military Club

On March, 21 the Embassy of Azerbaijan organized a music concert followed by a tasting Azerbaijani cuisine, held at the Central Military Club.

The concert is part of the year-round celebration of the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.

Bulgaria, Sudan Mark 60 Years of Diplomatic Relations

Two anniversaries involving Sudan were celebrated in Bulgaria's capital Sofia on Tuesday.

Diplomats, politicians and other guests marked at the Central Military Club the 60th anniversary since the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of the Sudan established diplomatic relations.

But Sudan itself also marked an anniversary of its independence which dates back 61 years.

Croatia's Foreign Minister Arrives in Bulgaria for Official Visit

Croatia's Foreign Minister Vesna Pusic arrives Monday in Sofia for an official visit at the invitation of her Bulgarian counterpart Daniel Mitov.

Apart from Mitov, Pusic is to also meet with President Rosen Plevneliev, Parliament Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva, and a number of ministers, according to the press office of Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry.
