CEM will Check if There is Censorship and Pressure in the Bulgarian National Television

The Council for Electronic Media will make monitoring and find out whether there is pluralism in BNT, bnr.bg reported.

The decision was taken at today's meeting. For this purpose, a review of the month-to-month discussions will take place to see if there is a balance in the guests' invitation and themes.

CEM Held the Hearing of Six Candidates for Director of the Bulgarian National Television

The Council for Electronic Media (CEM) decided at today's meeting to allow six candidates to participate in the competition as general director of the Bulgarian National Television, announced the chairman of the regulator Sofia Vladimirova.

They are Sasho Yovkov, Valery Todorov, Thoma Ivanov, Ivan Garelov, Konstantin Kamenarov, Emil Koshlukov.

Education Minister Unveils Anti-Aggression Plan

Education and Science Minister Nikolay Denkov on Monday unveiled an interdepatmental Plan for Agression Prevention and Better Security at the education institutions.

Denkov said ''We can expect that school aggression will end when becomes a fact in society. This, however, will not take place very soon, so we must take measures.''

Bulgarian MPs Appoints New Members of Media Watchdog

Two members of the Council for Electronic Media (CEM), the broadcast media watchdog of Bulgaria, have been elected by Parliament, local media report.

No debates have been held prior to the election.

The two members, Sofiya Vladimirova and Rozita Mihaylova-Elenova, were proposed by the biggest party GERB and the Bulgarian Democratic Center (BDC) respectively.

Bulgarian Media Regulator to Consider Chairman's Resignation Next Week

Bulgaria's broadcast media regulator CEM has delayed until next week its meeting on the resignation request submitted by its chairman Georgi Lozanov, Nova TV station reported on Tuesday.

The meeting has been postponed because not all members of the Council for Electronic Media (CEM) were able to attend it, Nova said.
