Local elections for municipalities and regions will be consistently held on the last Sunday of November. The reforms, introduced by Minister Thodoris Livanios at the KEDE (Central Union of Greek Municipalities) conference in Rhodes, are intended to modernize local government.

Attiki Odos: Approval Granted by the Court of Audit for the New €3.3 Billion Contract
The path is now clear for the new concession contract for Attiki Odos, following approval from the Court of Audit. The High Court’s approval was granted swiftly, aligning with the goal of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) to financially close the concession contract, likely by the end of the year. Note that the related request was submitted on July 5.
Judiciary to have say on its leadership
The selection of presidents and vice presidents of the Supreme Court, the Council of State, the Court of Audit and the selection of the prosecutor of the Supreme Court will henceforth be done by the administrative plenary sessions of the courts which will meet in April each year and vote by secret ballot on the candidates, according to an amendment tabled in the Parliament by Justice Minister G

Spartiates remain in Parliament for time being

Ioannis Sarmas sworn in as caretaker prime minister ahead of Greek elections
Court of Audit President Ioannis Sarmas was sworn in as prime minister of a caretaker government that will lead Greece to a repeat round of elections on June 25, shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Sarmas was sworn in at the Presidential Mansion in the presence of President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou appointed Ioannis Sarmas, a senior judicial official who is president of the Court of Audit, as caretaker prime minister on Wednesday to form a government that will lead the country to a repeat election on June 25, after last weekend's inconclusive vote.

Ioannis Sarmas, the president of the Court of Audit, will be appointed as the caretaker prime minister by President Katerina Sakellaropoulou after party leaders were unable to reach an agreement on forming a coalition government Wednesday.
Sarmas is expected to visit the Presidential Mansion at 1 p.m., where discussions will be held regarding the selection of interim ministers.

Privatization agency signals intent to proceed with several tenders for properties, infrastructure around Greece
