BELGRADE - Serbian customs services will intensify work during the upcoming Easter holidays and take all measures to prevent unnecessary waiting at border crossings, the Customs Administration said in a release on Friday.

BELGRADE - All customs offices in Serbia have been integrated in a New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) and Serbia should join the system of joint EU transit as of October this year, the Customs Administration authorities released.

Ministers sign anti-crime agreement

Trade between China, CEECs amounts to USD 50 billion
BELGRADE - The total trade volume between China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries (CEECs) stands at around USD 50 billion, said Bojana Todorovic, assistant to the Serbian minister of trade, stressing that these countries should act as one in trade with this large and important partner.
Customs officers prevent smuggling of 2 tons of oil
BELGRADE - Customs officers of a Serbian Customs Administration river patrol unit have prevented an attempt to smuggle nearly two tons of oil.
In the area of Novi Banovci, 20km north of Belgrade, the customs officers found a hand-made barge hidden in the overgrowth along the banks of the Danube River late on Wednesday.
