Cyprus leaders agree to connect mobile phone networks
Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci have reached an arrangement that will eventually allow the interoperability of mobile phones throughout the island.
Extensive Turkish exercise viewed as show of force
In what has been described as a show of force to Greece and Cyprus, Turkey's navy is preparing to hold its biggest ever exercises according to Turkey's state-run Anadolu news agency.
The "Blue Homeland" exercise, with the participation of frigates, destroyers and fighter jets, will take place in the Black Sea, the Aegean and the Mediterranean between February 27 and March 8.

Human rights court: Turkey didn't cooperate on murder case
Europe's top human rights court has ordered Turkey to pay a fine to the relatives of a murdered Turkish Cypriot family after ruling it had failed to cooperate with neighboring Cyprus in investigating the 14-year-old crime.
Nicosia hails Prespes Agreement ratification
The Republic of Cyprus says that the Prespes Agreement, which recognizes the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia as "North Macedonia" is a great step toward normalizing neighborly relations in the Balkans.
Cypriot government spokesman Prodromos Prodromou said that with Friday's decision by the Greek Parliament "a historical agreement has been concluded."

Turkey issues Navtex for area south of Cyprus
Turkey on Monday issued a Navtex reserving a maritime area south of Cyprus for live-fire exercises, Kathimerini's Cyprus edition has reported.
The exercise is due to take place on Tuesday across a large section of block 5 and a smaller part of block 6 of Cyprus's exclusive economic zone.

East Med gas pipeline deal draws closer
Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Israel are close to an agreement to construct the world's longest undersea pipeline to transfer natural gas from the Eastern Mediterranean energy fields to Europe, a Cypriot government source was quoted as saying on Sunday.

ExxonMobil drillship in Block 10 of Cyprus's exclusive economic zone
The drillship Stena IceMax, commissioned by US oil giant ExxonMobil to drill for hydrocarbons, has been in Block 10 of Cyprus's exclusive economic zone since Sunday night, according to Cypriot state radio RIK.
The ship went straight to Block 10 without first stopping off at Limassol as had been expected, RIK reported.
