5 civilians killed in PKK attack in SE Turkey

At least five villagers were killed in southeastern Turkey on April 8 by the terrorist organization PKK, said the local governorship.

Roadside explosives planted by the terror group hit a vehicle carrying forest workers in the rural town of Güleç in the Kulp district, said the Diyarbakır Governor's Office in a statement.

Probe launched into deadly accidents involving armored police vehicles in Turkey's southeast

Administrative and legal investigations have been launched into two traffic accidents involving armored police vehicles that led to the deaths of seven civilians in the Lice district of the southeastern province of Diyarbakır. 

The Diyarbakır Governor's Office stated that an inspector has asked to be assigned to the case from the Interior Ministry, Doğan News Agency reported.

Deputy Parliament Speaker and Kurdish-issue focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Istanbul lawmaker Pervin Buldan has testified in court in a case filed into her over "being a member of an armed terrorist organization" in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır. 

54 PKK militants 'neutralized' in security operations last week

A total of 54 outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants were "neutralized" in security forces operations across Turkey over the past week, the Interior Ministry stated on May 29.

Authorities use the word "neutralized" in their statements to imply the militants in question were either killed, wounded or captured.
