YPEN: Cheaper electricity at midday and midnight for consumers from the beginning of the year

 

Noon and midnight hours will be the cheapest in electricity prices under a plan by the Department of Energy’s Environment and Energy Ministry to move consumption hours to zones with lower charges for households and businesses.

ADMIE signs agreement with China’s SGID for 20% stake in Ariadne interconnection

The Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE) signed an agreement for the sale of a 20% stake in its subsidiary Ariadne Interconnection to State Grid International Development (SGID) of China on Thursday.

Ariadne Interconnection is the implementation agent for the linking of the Crete and Attica power grids.

Ministry announces crackdown on ‘reverse power theft’ by RES firms

The Environment and Energy Ministry intends to crack down on renewable energy suppliers who exceed their licensed capacity, committing a form of "reverse power theft" by flooding the system with unwanted electricity, the ministry's general secretary, Aristotelis Aivaliotis, told the Renewables & Storage Forum last week.

The Parliament formally designated the Greek National Museum of Natural History, previously known as the Goulandris Museum of Natural History.
