Greece reaffirms commitment to EU maritime safety initiatives
Shipping and Island Policy Minister Christos Stylianides reiterated Greece's steadfast support for the EU's efforts to modernize the EU legislative framework for maritime safety, during an EU transport ministers meeting held on Tuesday in Luxembourg.

For security reasons, electric and hybrid cars cannot travel on ferries with a charge of more than 40% and can never go unaccompanied, while those that consume gas fuel cannot have their tanks more than 50% full, thereby making travel more difficult for users of alternative types of fuel.

Stranded Ship Vera Su Is Not Sinking according to Divers, EU Maritime Agency Sending Help
Some of the fuel on the ship stranded near Kamen Bryag was drained from its tanks.
The amount remaining in the tanks is necessary for the operation of the ship's systems. Yesterday, divers who checked the condition of the ship stated unofficially that the ship "Vera Su" could not sink anymore because the shallows of the sea are 6 to 8 meters deep.

Mitsotakis in Lisbon for talks with Portugal counterpart
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis arrived in Portugal on Sunday for a meeting with his Portuguese counterpart Antonio Costa on Monday in Lisbon.
The meeting will be held in the context of Portugal taking over the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first half of 2021.
Bulgarian and Romanian Ships Fight Oil Spills in the Black Sea
Two specialized vessels, registered under Bulgarian and Romanian flags, fight oil spills in the Black Sea. They will participate in an international exercise in the aquatic environment of the Bay of Varna, organized by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).
Demonstrations take place annually and are important, as oil trafficking in the Black Sea has increased in recent years.

EC confirms request for oil spill aid was lodged late
