Multinational exercise to begin in Cyprus EEZ
The multinational NEMESIS exercise begins on Tuesday in Cyprus's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), for the fourth year in a row.
In a press release, the Defense Ministry said the exercise will simulate the situation on a drilling platform and will involve aeronautical forces and personnel from Cyprus, Israel, France, Greece and the United Kingdom, the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and the vessels of private companies EDT Offshore and Saipem SpA.
The Larnaca Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) will coordinate the exercise, in cooperation with the competent services of the Cypriot state and the countries taking part.
