Ferguson Police Department

Two police officers were reportedly shot after midnight on Thursday outside the Ferguson Police Department. A protest was taking place outside the police department at the time when shots were fired. Dozens of demonstrators fled after the gun shot with some screaming, "They hit a cop!" Images posted on social media show one officer carried away.

Tense protests flared again in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson on Nov. 24, with gunshots heard and tear gas fired, after a Missouri grand jury decided not to indict a white police officer over the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager in August.
