Turkish singer Atilla Taş and journalist Murat Aksoy were jailed once again on March 8 for their suspected links to the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), according to a judicial source.

Six soldiers surrendered to police in the capital Ankara on Jan. 10 and Jan. 11, confessing links to the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), believed to have been behind Turkey’s July 2016 coup attempt.

A prosecutor issued arrest warrants for 70 suspected members of the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), including 58 former and active soldiers, early on Dec. 3 in the Central Anatolian province of Konya, a judicial official has stated.

Some 240 people were detained in Turkey on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 over suspected links to the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) of U.S.-based Fethullah Gülen, believed to have been behind the July 2016 coup attempt.

Turkey should submit “substantial evidence, not circumstantial evidence” if wants Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) suspects to be extradited from EU member states, EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator Gilles de Kerchove has said.

Turkish police filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against prominent Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) members, security officials said on Nov. 19, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Germany's immigration authority has rejected more than 5,000 asylum applications filed by Turkish citizens, local media reported on Sept. 13. 

German daily Tagesspiegel reported that the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) had ruled on 8,547 asylum applications in 2017 filed by Turkish citizens, and rejected 5,040 of them.        

Turkey sent a diplomatic note to Germany on Aug. 16 over Adil Öksüz, a runaway suspect thought to be the civilian leader of the Gülen movement in the Air Force, following reports that he was seen in Germany, according to diplomatic sources. 

The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on Aug. 15 issued detention warrants for 33 former employees of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) as part of its probe into the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ).
