The Bulgarian government has endorsed changes to the Insurance Code today, suggesting that drivers who cause more accidents should face higher premiums for compulsory third-party insurance.

The Council of Ministers decided to provide 81,157,840 leva in financial resources to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDPW) to pay for this year's construction activities along the unfinished Hemus Motorway which will link the Bulgarian capital Sofia with the seaside city of Varna, the Government Information Service reported on Tuesday.

Bulgaria's caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev conferred on Tuesday in Sofia with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is visiting Bulgaria on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Government Information Service said in a press release. The two leaders discussed bilateral relations, current issues on the European agenda and Albania's progress towards EU accession.

Bulgaria's caretaker Prime Minister Stefan  Yanev conferred here on Tuesday with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is visiting this country on Tuesday and Wednesday,  the Government Information Service said in a press release. 

The caretaker cabinet has appointed Rumen Spetsov Executive Director of the National Revenue Agency (NRA). He is replacing Galya Dimitrova, who was relieved of her duties, the Government Information Service said on Friday.

The Council of Ministers Wednesday adopted a National Migration Strategy of the Republic of Bulgaria for the 2021-2025 period, the Government Information Service said.

Meeting with North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani on Tuesday, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said: "All differences between Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia should be ironed out.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on Thursday expected the progress of construction of the Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria. "This is a geostrategic project for both Bulgaria and the entire region," the PM said, quoted by the Government Information Service.

The Council of Ministers approved today the position of the Republic of Bulgaria for participation in the European Council meeting, which will be held on April 23 through video conferencing, the Government Information Service has announced.

The government approved additional costs / transfers in 2019 for the payment of scholarships under the Program of Measures for Protection of Children with Proven Talents from State, Municipal and Private Schools in 2019, the Government Information Service stated.
