Greek MP Alexis Tsipras has been in the limelight of global media-granted for the wrong reasons- over the past 6 months. To his mother Aristi Tsipras he is still her ‘boy’. In an interview to Greek newspaper ‘Parapolitika’, Tsipras’s 73-year-old mom shares her concerns about the wellbeing of her son. She worries about his health. “He hasn’t been eating or sleeping well lately”, she says.

SYRIZA MP, Greek Alternate FM Resigns After Bailout Agreement
Greek MP from the main ruling party SYRIZA and alternate foreign minister for European affairs Nikos Hountis announced his resignation on Monday.
He is the first leftist MP to resign since Greece reached an agreement with eurozone leaders on a third bailout on Monday.

First same-sex marriage for EU leader a reality in Luxembourg
The first same-sex marriage of an EU leader is a reality as of Friday, with Luxembourg Premier Xavier Bettel wedding Belgian architect Gauthier Destenay at Luxembourg’s town hall.
The nuptials come months after the Grand Duchy’s parliament legalized marriage between people of the same gender.
The ceremony for Bettel took place at on late Friday afternoon.

Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel took to Twitter on Thursday to insist that relations between him and Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and between the two countries are perfect after being on the receiving end of a homophobic tweet from an independent Greek MP.
