Galatasaray High School, one of the top schools in Türkiye, has honored its first female graduates with medals and certificates in a ceremony.
In 1965, nine girls started enrolled at the school, making them the first female students to pursue education there, and two of them graduated in 1973.
Eight teenagers arrested for firebombing school
Eight teenagers, all aged 16 years old, were arrested by police on Thursday on suspicion of firebombing a high school in an Athens suburb in an apparent case of gang rivalry.
Police said that at around 2 p.m., the group threw 3 Molotov cocktails into the courtyard of Moschato 2nd High School before running away.

Police searching for suspects in teen scuffle
Greek police on Tuesday was searching for three underage suspects who attacked two teens outside a school in Keratsini, western Piraeus, on Monday night.
The incident occurred outside the 4th High School at around 10 p.m., when two 16-year-olds and a 14-year-old attacked a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old over personal issues, according to the victims.
